A STATE IS MADE BY PEOPLE! We have to look at the thinking and direction that thinking is taking among the Ndebele. It is obvious that an idea has come and it would be useless to stop it, OR WORK AGAINST IT. All we probably need is a simple referendum in Matabeleland to ascertain what the Ndebele really want. If they "Yes" it then a new nation like South Sudan and Barqa will have to be born. At that point the Shona who rule the Ndebele, will have nothing to do except to "let my people go". I can not wait!

Mthwakazi is a myth. The mistake many people are making is to assume that all people in the so-called Matabeleland are Ndebele, The truth is that the Ndebele are less than 50 thousand and are far outnumbered by the Kalanga. So, how can you have the minority of a minority dictating national issues, notwithstanding that this minority group consists of descendents of a small settler force. Adios

hey 4get abwt this mtwakazi thing this is jst a way for the former zulus to create their kingdom.wen mzilikazi came to zim he forced everybody to become a ndebele but the truth is matebeleland is made up of a lot of different tribes who dnt want to b part of this matebele kingdom anymore.U guyz came 1840 n wer oppressing everybody else in zim the whites came 1890 n dethroned u.B4 the whiteman came everybody here was against your occupation, stealing slavery remember everybody else who was nt frm zansi was a ' amahole' which is deregotory in its meaning. therz no way we resuscitate a kingdom based on superior n inferior pple.Go bak to zululand wher u came frm. 50 yerz of illegal occupation doznt translate to honourship, even hong kong has been handed over to the chinese after 50yrs of occupation by the british

lets go back to the basics, the two major tribes lying beyong the Limpopo river were never united until the settlers treated them as one and imposed similar law and teratment to these seperate tribes. even towards the liberation movement the fine line was drawn when the likes of Mzenda abandoned the ZAPU formed in 1962 to form The ZANU in 1963, the isolatotion of the Mthwakazi is not some thing new but now is the time to stand as people with one identity Ndebeles and live like that as a Republic

Major tribes? What do you mean? How can 20000 ex-Zulu settlers be a major tribe in Zimbabwe? Ndebele only became an official language and NOT major tribe because their fellow white settlers who ironically also headed north from down south enacted an education Act that gave the settler Zulus a national status. The point is that there is no such word as Mthwakazi in any of Zimbabwe's indigenous tribes/languages. Only the Zulu settlers speak like that.

Wen the zimbabweans fought for independence they were fighting 2 fronts the white front and the ndebele front.in 1980 we got independence from the white man from 1981 to 1987 we wer fighting the invasion of the zulu/ndebeles who had occupied us since 1840 n we finally becam free in 1987.Its being stupid to thnk that the history/occupation of zimbabwe starts in 1890 .The british occupied zimbabwe for for 90 years n during that 90 yerz we fought them until 1980.the zulus/ndebeles occupied us for 50 years. if it was nt of the white the zimbabweans wer still going to war against the zulus/ndebeles.Lets nt thnk that becoz we had a common enemy therefore we lose our ryts to our land no ways even as i write this sme ndebele pple in the midlands are still tracing their descendants to RSA and they r going back so follow suit dnt fool yourself n thnk that that they wil ever be a mtwakazi no no no those are just dreams and let them be.The british and the zuluz are the same they are all foreign occupiers of zimbabwe, u both have overstayed your welcome its tym to pack n go bak

Matabeleland is a province of zim, my country. If any referendum is to be conducted, it has to be conducted throughout the whole country on whether or not we want this so called seccesion. I for one will not vote for it. I will never be asked by a ndebele for passport to go to nketa 7, houses built by RG after independence and where I lived for a greater part of my life. Mthakwazi bullkaak can go bhotcha or hang. This civil war they want to start will consume them if they are not careful.

The indigenous name for the so-called Matabeleland is Bulilimamangwe, the land of the Kalanga that was stolen by 500 Zulu settlers who now claim to be a "major" tribe in Zimbabwe.

Extremely necessary now to have Mthwakazi - what with Pathisa Nyathi and co. now calling amaShona Bayethe and becoming apologists for amaShona, we need a big revival to get our Mthwakazi dignity back on its feet. We have bootlicked amaShona for so long it now looks like the most normal thing to do - lemfihlo yethu njengabantu is getting lost each day with oPathisa leading the bootlicking. Imagine a Ndebele in all her senses - never mind working for ZBC, but calling Harare isigodlo - Lobhengula is turning in his grave!
